Kamflex Europe nears 25 years: ductile iron, water and a promise kept

Every day, beneath the streets of our cities, miles of pipelines deliver drinking water and collect wastewater for treatment. Keeping everything running takes components that stay reliable over time, selected and supplied by people who truly know water networks.

That is what Kamflex Europe has been doing since 2002: supplying ductile iron couplings for water supply and fittings that distributors and water utilities can rely on. In 2027 we will turn 25: this is our story, told through the choices that made us who we are.

Kamflex’s story builds on long experience. Our founder had created EFFAST SRL, a manufacturer of PVC fittings and valves active in Italy and abroad, with three subsidiaries outside the country. In 2002 EFFAST joined the British Polypipe group, and a new chapter began.

That same year, together with a South African friend, our founder set up Kamflex Europe to bring universal couplings made in South Africa to Europe. The name comes from there too, from the South African company of the time: a tribute to a country our founder and his family love for its landscapes, its wildlife and the friendships made in those years.

One choice has defined Kamflex more than any other: going to the manufacturers in person. We assessed and visited foundries one by one, and with the best of them we built partnerships that have lasted for years.

For us, quality is not a slogan. It is why we select foundries through on-site visits and continuously improve our products. It is a promise we have never compromised on since 2002, just like our commitment to the people who work with us.

Starting from couplings, we have expanded our range to meet the real needs of those who build and manage water networks:

• 2002 · Universal couplings: the product where it all began.
• 2004 · Ductile iron fittings: ductile iron solutions for the different points of the network.
• 2012 · Restraint couplings: secure joints even with axial pipe movement.
• 2022 · Ductile iron gate valves: a key product family added to the range.
• 2025 · Restrained universal couplings: safe on all pipe types.

Since 2022 Kamflex has been in a growth phase, with more products and rising turnover. And more new products are already planned.

Our customers are regional and provincial distributors and water utilities. Once started, a partnership rarely ends: we have worked with some Italian distributors for more than ten years. We offer technical support, very fast responses and flexible shipping, always with full transparency.

Our experience also reaches beyond Italy. In Iraq we managed the entire supply chain of large-diameter fittings for a pumping and wastewater treatment station.
